Mission + Pledge

Our goal is to completely eliminate the use of plastic. Sign our pledge below to join us on our mission! We aim to have all Pleasanton Unified District Families sign this pledge and say No to plastic.

We proudly are a plastic-free organization. We encourage all of our members and you to eliminate your usage of plastic whenever possible. Statistics shows that plastic is entering the ocean at a dangerous exponential rate. One of the key ways to fight this issue is to prevent it from entering the ocean itself. Although recycling has proven to be an effective way, there are still limitations from wind carrying plastic to the oceans itself and there are contamination issues given that certain products are incorrectly placed into recycling bins and contaminate the other items. As a club, our mission is to protect the environment from raising awareness to encouraging members to commit to a pledge of going plastic free.

It's easy to go plastic free given that most plastic items do not even require plastic. Trade in your plastic bottles for reusable water bottles and your plastic bags for canvas bags. All of our members are today plastic free and you can be too!
